We are offering a stunning Vacheron & Constantin 18K solid gold Thunderbird Torn-O-Graph. Tis is a truly one of a kind, it is a really earliest and limited edition vacheron & constantin Ref: 6782. its limited edition authenticity is guaranteed with the serial production number engraved on its back case (11/78) which means the 11th produced piece out of only 78 released.
A brief list of the quality of this watch and specifications:
1 - its number of production is documented on its back case (11/78)
2 - The vacheron & constantin engraved on the back case still in the old style similar to the one on the dial.
3 - The movement k1071 is an automatic (rotor-winding), center seconds, Parechoc “Kif Flector” shock-absorber, Jewels: 29, introduced 1959 and discontinued in 1963 (short life) with the introduction of cal. 1072 . Our movement is much more interesting because the major part of the cal. K1071 were produced with a 18K solid gold guilloche decorated rotor-winding mass and usually signed (18c), by checking our movement you can notice how it still simply not decorated not even signed and it may not be made of solid gold , it is most probably a prototype. The movement has serial nb: 545577, runs properly keeping good time.
4 - It's not a Quantieme: As you can see it has not a date display (it's not a Quantieme), the Quantieme Turn-O-Graphs were released later in a larger quantity, more than 300 three hundred pieces and never counted with number of production on the back-case.
5 - The dial : This extraordinary dial has only been seen on a handful of pieces and may can be unique and it still attractive and beautiful in its rare original condition (never refineshed).
This is a museum quality time piece. A treasure to own and a rarety to add to your private collection
