40's Pilot's Breitling chronograph ref 765 mvt Venus cal 178.
In the mid to late ’40s, Breitling started using the Venus 178 in it’s ref. 765 watches and they continued using this very durable and dependable Swiss-made chronograph movement right into the 1970s in the “Navitimer
Ref 765 pilot's watch in the Breitling catalogue of 1946
Here is a highly collectible 1940's pilot's Breitling chronograph 3 register. The watch is in it's original condition. 30 Minute Register at 3:00, Constant Seconds at 9:00 and 12 Hour Recorder at 6:00. Outer Telemeter Graduation and Inner 1/5 Second Graduation. Original ial Shows discoloration from Age. The signed movement is the high grade 17 jewels Venus cal 178, the pusher shows some wear (see photo), stainless steel case with back ref: 765 and serial nb: 819437. Size : 38 mm excluding crown - 45 mm lug to lug. The watch runs keeping great time, all chronograph functions are in working order.
This extremely rare timepiece is a dream for collector's.....do not miss it.
