Here is an exquisite and very fine Swiss Made hunter pocket watch Gold and enamel with three diamonds cut, CA. 1840, Louis Matile Locle No. 9669
Approx. 40mm, approx. 42.2g,  appears to be 20K yellow solid gold (not signed), both sides enameled, both sides of the finest enamel painting with beautiful engraving, dust cover signed and numbered # 30868, unusual for this time of the fine precision work, key winding, enamel dial with black roman numerals and a subsidiary second hand dial.
The watch face is signed Louis Matile Locle. Locle is a Swiss city renowned for the manufacture of some of the world's finest quality watches. Louis Matile was one of the premier watchmakers of the mid 19th century and worked in the town of Locle Switzerland where the world's finest watches were produced at the time. The watch movement is signed LOUIS MATILE LOCLE. It is in excellent condition and runs keeping excellent time.
